Oska

Manchmal braucht es nicht viel. Ein paar Noten Gitarre und eine Stimme, die von Ankommen erzählt, nachdem alles ziemlich lange einigermaßen verloren wirkte. Mit diesen Elementen kommt Oska in ihrer neuen Single "Like A Song" aus und erschafft Welten.

So, wie sie es auch schon auf ihren Debüt Releases "Honeymoon Phase" 2021 und "My World, My Love, Paris" 2022 tat. Mit denen verzauberte die 29-jährige Niederösterreicherin zum einen das kanadische Label Nettwerk und zum anderen eine breite Hörer:innenschaft in ihrer Heimat. Dort manövrierte sie sich nämlich durch die gesamte Radiolandschaft. Von Kultursender Ö1 über Formatradio Ö3 bis zur Indie-Größe FM4.

Ein Umstand, der neben ihrem Amadeus Music Award 2022, der Nominierung beim Anchor Award 2021 und dem XA-Export-Award beim WAVES Vienna 2020, Wellen schlug. Die reichten so weit, dass internationale Acts wie Tom Odell, Matt Simmons, SYML und Haevn Oska mit auf Tour nahmen. Durch ganz Europa. Fast das ganze Jahr über. Diese Anstrengungen machten sich bezahlt. Denn Anfang 2023 wurde Oska zuerst ein Music Moves Europe Award verliehen und gleich danach begab sie sich auf ihre erste Headliner Tour durch Deutschland und die Niederlande.

Ein weiteres Jahr später lässt Oska nicht nur mit neuer Musik von sich hören sondern auch mit einem weiteren Debüt. Ihrem Live Debüt in den USA auf gleich 3 Showcase Festivals - dem renommierten SXSW in Austin, Texas, dem The New Colossus in New York City und dem New New Festival in Dallas. Und das ist erst ein Partikel dessen, was passiert. Weil auch 2025 einiges für die österreichische Musikerin bereithält. Wie etwa ein neues Album: "Refined Believer" erscheint Mitte Juni. Oder auch brandneu eine weitere Auszeichnung beim Amadeus Austrian Music Award 2025 - Alternative-Preis für Oska! 

Alles Schritte auf einer Reise, die sich genauso magisch anfühlt, wie ihre Musik.

Sometimes it doesn't take much. A few notes of guitar and a voice that tells of arriving after everything has seemed rather lost for a long time. Oska gets by with these elements in her new single “Like A Song” and opens up worlds.

Just as she did on her debut releases “Honeymoon Phase” in 2021 and “My World, My Love, Paris” in 2022. With these, the 29-year-old from Lower Austria enchanted both the Canadian label Nettwerk and a broad audience in her home country. There she maneuvered her way through the entire radio landscape. A fact that made waves alongside her Amadeus Music Award 2022, her nomination for the Anchor Award 2021 and the XA Export Award at WAVES Vienna 2020. So much so that international acts such as Tom Odell, Matt Simmons, SYML and Haevn took Oska on tour with them. Throughout Europe. Almost all year round. These efforts paid off. Because at the beginning of 2023, Oska was first presented with a Music Moves Europe Award and immediately afterwards embarked on her first headlining tour through Germany and the Netherlands.

Another year later, Oska is not only making a name for herself with new music, but also with another debut.
